Description

The pace of life is faster than ever before. It’s clear every morning when people start rushing to work. Most of them choose to drive, so inevitably cities get gridlocked. Day in, day out. As tempers get frayed, the quality of life declines. Apollo Scooters is a Canadian company aiming to create a world for people, not cars. They develop electric scooters that save time, help to reduce carbon footprint, and make commuting enjoyable.

Situation

E-scooters are growing popular across North America as more people look for alternative ways to commute. The market is expected to grow from $620 million in 2023 to $13 billion by 2030, showing that electric mobility is not a fad.

The road ahead is not without its speed bumps. Different cities have different rules, making it tricky at times for e-scooter enthusiasts to enjoy their rides, which in effect impacts manufacturers’ bottomline. And on top of that, big players like Segway-Ninebot, Unagi, or Gotrax already control much of the market.

Still, as cities get increasingly overcrowded and jammed, people look for alternatives to cars and public transportation, and e-scooters are often their first choice.

Apollo Scooters came to learn about DIGIFFIC from another agency working on their website, and decided to use that recommendation.

“They came highly recommended by another agency we worked with and we couldn’t be happier to have followed their recommendation.”

CEO, Maciej Piskorz

Pain Points

Apollo Scooters faced a critical challenge: they were invisible in search engine results. Despite offering high-quality, eco-friendly products, their website was struggling to attract organic traffic and generate sales.

“We hired Digiffic and their team to help us get started with SEO. We had little structure and experience, so we thought working with experts was the best approach. While we didn’t have any specific goals, we did know that it is a long term investment that will pay dividends after 6-8 months.”

The client faced several key issues:

No existing SEO strategy: The website was built without any consideration for search engine optimization, resulting in poor on-page elements and site structure.

Zero domain authority: As a new business, the site had no backlinks and lacked any online presence or brand recognition.

Highly competitive market: The sustainable home goods sector was already saturated with established brands dominating search results.

Limited budget: As a startup, the client had constraints on their marketing spend, making paid advertising an unsustainable long-term solution.

Technical website issues: The site suffered from slow load times, poor mobile optimization, and crawlability problems.

Lack of content: The website had insufficient product descriptions and blog content to attract and engage potential customers.

Our agency was tasked with developing and implementing a comprehensive SEO strategy to increase the client’s organic search visibility, drive qualified traffic to their website, and ultimately boost their online sales – all while working within their budget constraints and competing in a challenging market.

Our Method

First, we analyzed the market and Apollo’s competitors with due diligence. Based on our findings, we identified opportunities missed by the competition, and then we created a comprehensive content strategy around it. This was the only way we could have gone up against the household names in the market.

Next, we wrote high-quality blog articles, and saturated the client’s website with a healthy amount of necessary brand and non-brand keywords.

Simultaneously, we were upgrading the website’s Technical SEO.

Finally, we had to build the domain authority through a cost-effective backlink strategy.

Solutions

After learning the details of the situation, DIGIFFIC dove headfirst into a multifaceted approach, tackling technical SEO optimization, backlink strategy, and content creation with unparalleled expertise.

  • Technical SEO required a deep dive into Apollo Scooters’ website architecture, meticulously fine-tuning every aspect from site speed and mobile responsiveness to schema markup and crawlability.
  • The backlink strategy demanded a delicate balance of outreach, relationship-building, and creating link-worthy content in a niche industry.
  • Content creation involved extensive market research, keyword analysis, and crafting engaging, authoritative pieces that resonated with both search engines and potential customers.

Over the years, DIGIFFIC consistently ensured that the client’s website was optimized on-site. The team also focused on off-site strategies and took full responsibility for their execution. DIGIFFIC’s efforts weren’t limited to just SEO work across two U.S. markets; they were actively involved in the website’s development process.

Additionally, DIGIFFIC supported the client in implementing additional language versions of the website. After a few months, this strategy began to yield results, significantly scaling up the client’s visibility. Notably, this included Spanish versions for the U.S. market and French versions for the Canadian market.

This comprehensive, high-quality approach laid the groundwork for Apollo Scooters’ remarkable transformation.
